Q: If approved, when will construction commence and finish.
If this project is approved, public bidding will commence within a few weeks and should be awarded prior to January 2020. Construction will begin immediately following award and is expected to be completed by the Memorial Day opening of the 2020 Pool Season.
Q: How will the project be funded?
This project will be funded through a Bond Ordinance in the Township’s Swimming Pool Utility through registration fees collected from pool memberships. Bond Ordinance 2019-33 was introduced on October 7. A Public Hearing on this bond ordinance will be held on October 21.
Q: Will taxes be increased to fund this project?
No. This project will be funded through registration fees collected from pool memberships.
Q: Are pool membership fees expected to be increased to fund this project?
No. Existing capital reserves coupled with the savings of existing Pool Capital debt issues that are ending next year are adequate to pay the new debt issue.

The Township approved the Bond Ordinance on October 21st and would like to hear from you before November 18th if you are interested in expressing any concerns, opposition, questions or support for this project before it goes for public bidding.
