Transparency and accountability should inform all facets of public office. In addition, governing should be more about listening to what residents want elected officials to work on, and less about what elected officials want.
New technology affords elected leaders the opportunity to do so in a way never done before, constructively and collectively, tapping into the collective wisdom of the people elected officials represent.
Accordingly, we are proposing to empower residents to publicly and transparently inform their elected leaders about their most pressing needs by proposing initiatives on which all other residents can vote and opine on so that everybody in our community knows what the town priorities should be.
