This information is of interest to anyone who is a taxpayer as well as anyone who has a child in or works in the Toms River Regional Schools. If you are unaware, the ESIP is the first of a two-part plan (the second being the referendum) to repair, improve and update the schools so they eventually become a safer, more efficient and comfortable place to learn and work. Strong schools build strong communities allowing taxpayers to educate their children well while maintaining or building value in their homes. More information and the most recent copy of this "Living document" are available on the district website (site is temporarily down). Examples include new handicap-accessible playgrounds, replacing carpet with tile around the district for health and cleanliness, turf fields for sporting facilities.
