Since the closing of Pathmark at Lackawanna Plaza in November of 2015 many of our neighbors and families living in one of the most economically challenged neighborhoods in Montclair, have been suffering in silence with a lack of access to adequate and consistently available healthy food. Feeling powerless they have been simply quietly struggling to “make do”.

While the town awaits a new supermarket in Lackawanna Plaza, there are a number of programs you can help with:

• Delivery Program - This would involve picking up groceries for carless residents in town.
• Rideshare Program - This program will connect carless residents to residents with cars to help them get to a grocery store.
• Offline Assistance- Help offline residents (seniors, or residents without reliable internet access) in using online services to purchase groceries.
