PAWS Montclair, an animal rescue and foster network, depends on compassionate and caring people who are willing to volunteer as foster parents to provide a home environment for cats and dogs while they await permanent placement. Foster homes provide a less stressful environment than a shelter, and a home setting speeds up the socialization process by allowing the animal to interact with people. Foster homes are essential to PAWS' work as they allow for the rescue of more animals, as well as increasing the animals' chances of finding a loving, permanent home.
