Instead of a traffic light which would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, reverse the one-way direction around Watchung Plaza park to a clockwise circulation and make Watchung Plaza-West the outlet to Watchung Avenue with a right turn only restriction. Add stop signs on both Watchung Plaza-East and Fairfield St westbound. Eliminate the proposed new x-walk on the West side of the box as it is dangerous and unnecessary. Normalize the Park St entrance with modified bulb-outs. Additional benefits to new circulation: -will channel more cars to park in the Fairfield Lot -move existing queue of left turning cars onto Watchung Plaza-West further East thereby allowing for creating clearly marked left & right turn lanes Westbound under the RR trestle at intersection with Park Street -cars turning left from Watchung Avenue Westbound onto the newly reversed Watchung Plaza-East would have a traffic calming effect as it would be to narrow to pass on the right
